

When looking at the design of an AEL Domestic purpose made Swimming Pool Plate Heat Exchanger for a Hotel , Leisure Centre , Sports Stadium etc the core principle of the design tends to always be the same (or very similar) with the Primary hot water circuit from a Boiler or another Primary heat source supplying water at 80 oC which in turn is capable of heating the Swimming Pool circuit to 28.5 oC .
If the system design duties are not available from site in the early stages of an enquiry then assuming the Primary Temperatures are 80 >60 oC and the Secondary Temperature rise of 28.5 oC is a good starting point for Quotation purposes, these can be changed later if required.
AEL purpose made Swimming Pool Plate Heat Exchangers are available in three high quality models providing you with a choice to decide which would best suit your project.
A. Fully controlled Techno System modules c/w Control Panel, Pump, modulating valve and sensors with various units suitable for Chlorinated or Salt Water applications, please specify which.
B. Alfa Laval Swimming Pool Plate Heat Exchangers excluding controls.
C. Alfa Laval Swimming Pool Plate Heat Exchangers self-cleaning (100%) 316 Stainless Steel Bonded PHE, (Copper and Nickel free) suitable for both Chlorine and Salt Water swimming pools.
AEL can of course heat any Swimming Pool up to the desired temperature in any period of time but we would recommend that a structural engineer is consulted to assess the stresses of your pool prior to starting the heating up procedure especially if it’s going to be heated from 10 oC to 28.5 oC in less than three days.
If a pool is heated too quickly, the difference between the temperature of the water and the pool shell can result in thermal shock causing structural and tiling failure to occur.
